WRITING WORKSHOPS
There are 8 writing workshops in total, join us for one, some or all.
The workshops are open to anyone who is interested in writing, with any level of experience. The sessions will be delivered in English, but participants are welcome to write and read in their mother tongue in response to prompts.
Bring your favourite pen and notebook, materials will be provided on request.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
The workshops invite you to think and write about where our food is from, explore how we gather our ingredients and prepare them. We will talk about what we eat, how we eat, where we eat and who we eat with. We will explore what we pass on, what recipes, traditions, and rituals we send to the next generation.
ZINE MAKING
At the end, you are invited to return for a zine making workshop where the stories, reflections, recipes, poems etc written during the workshop can be bound into a private volume. Combine your writing with extracts of books from the exhibition, writings and illustrations.

Facilitated by Zee Hara
Hi, my name is Zee and I am an event organiser, a poet, writer and workshop facilitator. My passion is creating safe, nurturing spaces, and working with people who have never written before. I support and enable them to find their voice and tell their story in their own words. I currently work with Longsight Art Space, providing monthly women’s writing workshops. I am excited to be a part of the Dining In project and look forward to our writing journey.
